The St. Agnes Catholic School Foundation awarded the first St. Agnes Alumni Futures Scholarship at a ceremony in May 2016. The first recipient of the scholarship is Hannah Brown, daughter or Dr. Pat and Julie Brown. Board President, Bridget Peck and Foundation Director, Alyssa Harvey, presented Hannah with the scholarship.
Hannah graduated with honors from Scottsbluff High School in May 2015. She is currently a student at the University of Nebraska - Kearney, where she is majoring in social work. Among her many accomplishments, she currently holds a 4.0 GPA and is involved on campus in various ways.
Hannah is passionate about service work and credits her family, church background, and St. Agnes School with her appreciation and fondness for giving back and helping others. She can remember experiences as a young child that taught her the importance of helping those in need. In her application she wrote "... I learned quickly that serving others not only helped those in need but left my own heart so full. I was developing a passion for service work."
The Foundation is proud to announce Hannah as the first recipient of this $1000 scholarship. We feel strongly that Hannah will use the scholarship to continue to better herself and those around her. Congratulations, Hannah!
